How to identify the serial number on IDS

Hi All,

I have a problem to find serial number on our two IDS 4210 sensors. We need those numbers to purchase SmartNet contract. Would you please tell me how to find the number from the box or from the software (both boxes are running version 3.1), also what it looks like? Thanks in advance.

There is no command to find the serial number of the IDS. You will find a Service Tag Label on 4210 which is the one used in smartnet.

AS for what the sticker looks like.

It is on the back far right of the sensor.

It has bar code on top, 7 alphanumeric characters, and then a bar code on bottom.

There is also a large sticker on the bottom of the sensor with those same 7 alphanumeric characters listed as the serial number along with alot of other information.
