IDS-4235 sensor monitoring interface

Hi,

I have recently replaced an IDS-4230 sensor with an IDS-4235 sensor. The 4230 had it's monitoring interface plugged to a Cisco FastHub 400, which is a 10/100Mbps hub. If we plug the 4235 to the same port on the hub, we cannot get sensor events. I have also noticed that the front panel LED for this port is not glowing. However, if we plug this port to a switch the front panel LED glows. The rear panel LED for this NIC, however, glows when plugged to a switch or hub.

Can anybody help?

Most of the documents on 4235 refer only connecting to a Hub, what is the cable that you used??

Try using a cross over cable if you were using straight or vice versa.
