IDSM-2 & 6509 Configuration

Hi,

As am new to this IDSM-2 , could any one let me know about the guide/configuration link , So i can plan and configure accordingly .. how to capture the traffice of all vlans and which vlan should have the Sniffing interface ... how to design & configure the IDSM-2 on 6509 Switch

Here's a link to a document describing how to configure VACL capture on the switch to send traffic from one or more VLANS to the IDSM2.

I don't know why that link doesn't work for you. In my experience, if you have a CCO account, that link is the proper link. The one I provide below I obtained without logging into my CCO account. So, it should work for you:

If am right port 1 or TCP reset port , ports 7,8 are sniffing interfaces then what is management interface ? help needed

I'm not sure what you're asking. Can you rephrase the question?

Are you asking about using IDM to upgrade the version (signature level and/or service pack) for an IDSM2 in a 6509 switch?
