Ios Firewall and audit function ?

I have a question regarding ip audit, can we use ip audit without ip inspect with ios firewall ?

Hello there,

Yes you can. You do not have to enable inspection for ip audit to work. However, the audit code uses the inspection engine to operate so you will have to follow the same rules of being able to track the entire session through the router. Asymmetric routing will not work with the audit feature enabled.
