network extension mode for 1711 as ezvpn remote device over DSL

Just getting started on setting up my branch offices with 1711's. Moving 27 branch offices off of Frame Relay onto DSL connections. Goal is to setup vpn tunnel to corporate HQ by putting 1711 at each remote site. Will enable split tunnel, so web browsing does not go through vpn tunnel to corporate network.

Right now, I'm stuck on the inside/outside interface issue: on 1711, if the 10/100 Ethernet port is connected to the DSL box, then does that make the 10/100 Ethernet port the outside interface?
