PDM 3.0 Java 5.0 jre error

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has got the following error "basic: Exception: java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.util.PropertyPermission java.version read)" accessing the PDM from a machine running Java JRE5.0? If so where you able to resolve this error. The only way I found around this error was to uninstall JRE 5.0 and install JRE 1.3

This version seems buggy, just use a previous version 1.4.x works fine.

I have encountered the same error and I'm using java ver 1.4.2_08. I have gone through the security settings in IE and have made sure the java console was using the 1.4.2 and not the plug-in. I must be missing something, any ideas.

I was getting the same error. I see that there is an updated PDM, ver 3.0(3) that was released on April 13th. I tested it on a spare pix and the PDM worked fine with Java JRE 5.0.
