we have a request to allow access to an ssl based portal out on the internet from a pc based behind our firewall. currently, when the session is initiated, it fails, i believe that the ssl vpn that the portal is trying to set up is being blocked by our firewall. currently we do not open any incoming ports. is this common to allow this and what are the ramifications of opening port for this?
thanks

if i do this, what are the ramifications? and how can i be sure that i have not compromised the security of the firewall?
