When the status of the sa is checked it shows the following staus, could some one tell me the significance of the value shown for the conn-id `1`.Does this value go up as the number of SA`s increase ?
eg: If i have 3 SA`s namely A-B,A-C and A-D will the conn-id for A-D be 3?
A-------=================================------>B
|------=================================------->C
|-----=================================-------->D
cisco7206VXR#sh crypto isakmp sa
dst src state conn-id slot
210.4.4.253 210.4.4.254 QM_IDLE 1 0

Each SA has unique connection ID
Router# show crypto isakmp sa
dst src state conn-id slot
10.1.1.1 10.1.1.2 QM_IDLE 1 0
55.1.1.2 55.0.0.1 QM_IDLE 8 0

Hi there,
Thanks for the quick response,
Could youplease let me know if this connection Id is alloted sequentially,
or is it that it allots any random number ?

not sure, but i think it can't be random, has to be sequential. But if an SA is deleted, the conn-id is not re-used. If you want to be 100% sure, pls raise a TAC case to confirm this.
