I was under the impression that to stop spammers from using our networks Messenger Service, all I had to do was block the UDP NetBIOS traffic and it should take care of it. I have done that, and I am still getting the messenger pop-up windows. Are there any other ports that I should block? What are the exact ports I should be blocking?

You should be blocking everything inbound by default. That is the default setup of the pix. Post your config, but delete the password lines

Well, this is actually a 2600 router. We don't have a PIX but I couldn't find any other place on the forums to ask this question for a router.

Investigate into using CBAC on the router as a firewall solution. Is the router under an support contract on which you can upgrade the image to one that support cbac?
