WebVPN for SAPgui

Hello,

I have big problems configuring application access for the SAPgui application (other applications are working fine). For me it seems that - once the hostname of a SAP server is resolved - the server's IP address is contacted directly. I have two questions :

a) (for WebVPN experts) Is it possible to access directly the server's real IP address using WebVPN ? In case this is not possible with the current version, is it likely that this will work with some later software release ?

b) (for SAP application specialists) Is it possible somehow to configure the client or the server to use only the hostname instead of the IP address ?

Strictly speaking, you need not worry what IP address it seeks. Even if the IP is NATed, the remote end will take care of changing the IP again to the real IP and send the request.
