Hi,

I'm having a intermittent problem accessing certain web sites, especial the ones end that with orgs. Sometimes it takes 2 to 3 hours to be able to reach these sites, in the meantime I could reach everything else. However whenever I clear the NAT table, all of the sudden I'm able to access these sites again. Few hours later, same thing happen, I issue the clear XLAT command then I'm back in business again. Can any one tell me what is going on?

Thank you very much !

http://cco/en/US/partner/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_tech_note09186a0080094459.shtml

also check if you are exceeding the xlat entries

what does "show xlat count" says,

waht is the versoin you are runing?

What does SYSLOG say?

Thanks

Nadeem

Thanks for replying!

Unfortunately, when I click on the links you've provided, I get cannot find page, may be these pages are not available at this moment; I'll try it again later. As far as the sh xlat count it is 34 in use 496 most used, I'm not really sure what that means. I have a block of address that is designated to be dynamically assigned to local users. X.X.X.50 to 200 and 201 is for patting. The thing is that, the sites mentioned earlier are accessible for only 10 to 15 minutes, after that I have to clear the xlat to gain access again. As far as syslog I don't have one yet, I'm only using the monitoring tool that comes with the PIX. Nothing seems to be out of the ordinary. The PIX version is 6.1 (4).

Thanks again .
