I have 7609 router which has two Main processor units (like 2 routers) and one of them is in rommon mode and has no any IOS in it . So i want to configure new IOS there but I dont know how supervisor will react to it , because 1 unit works with 12.2(33)SRB version and I want that second unit also work . But I dont't know how the supervisor works and what will happen if i configure new IOS on second unit or same IOS . Because it's production router , I dont want to risk .
Actually if someone will explain how supervisor engine works and are the MPU's have to be configured same IOS with same configs? , based on what, supervisor engine decides final decisions about packets and based on which MPU .
