I need some insight on setting up a model. We are having a 1GBit throughput from national telecommunicator. I have to terminate this connection at a BRAS device. Then, traffic located from different DSLAMs placed at different locations will be routed to BRAS. For the first year, We are expecting 1000-2000 users. I am about to choose one from three vendor Cisco ASR series, Redback and Juniper. I ve read some material that cisco outperforms Juniper, whereas Redback performs triple-play processing in a single device. I would like it to be Cisco and i need model suggestions.
In addition, I need a RADIUS solution to Authenticate Authorize and Account xDSL clients. Do you suggest Cisco's TACACs server? Can you send me example network diagrams, or your own sanitized network diagrams that consist of RADIUS, BRAS, TR069 server etc?
