Hi folks!!!
Would someone provide a clarifying explanation in reference to:
It appears [from my experience –with MANY hours in the lab-] that both of these configurations only support a SINGLE VLAN end-to-end.
Cisco documentation refers to using L2TPv3 and 802.1q (VLAN) as a solution to extend a layer-2 segment. The documentation is confusing where it refers to 802.1q (VLAN). Even though the documentation refers to 802.1q (VLAN), this is NOT a TRUNK link supporting multiple Vlans but only a SINGLE VLAN.
It also appears that the subinterface examples are directed more towards an environment (Eg. Service Provider) where the router’s physical interface is configured into subinterfaces to support more than a single customer?
BUT just in case I have missed something, is there a way to setup L2TPv3 to support end-to-end Trunking (Eg. Multiple Vlans) across a single Xconnect link OR should another technology be used?
Would you be so kind and provide the CE Switch and PE Router configurations – PLEASE!!!!!!
THANK YOU
Frank
