PIM Sparse mode

Hello ,

can you please  tell me why activating  pim sparse mode in a backup interface , activate this interface

i have a BRI as backup interface for serial interface ,  i need keeping bri in standby mode after activating pim multicat in this interface

I'm sorry  , i have configured the backup link via floating route ,  i havr changed that using  backup command , and that solve my issue
