The world is marching towards digitization in almost every field. The evolution of mobility and the Internet of Things (IoT) has accelerated digitization. This progress touches nearly every industry and increases efficiency and resilience, but it comes with the cost of increased Greenhouse gas (GHG) and carbon (CO2) emissions. Unless technology and products are designed to be sustainable, carbon emissions will destroy our planet. Increased digitization demands and consumes more of our natural resources. To combat this, the majority of technology companies around the World have pledged to meet the Net Zero challenge.
This session introduces the concepts of GHG, the need to make products green, and how Cisco is participating and contributing to make its network products sustainable. The discussion will also cover Cisco’s energy efficient network routers like the 8000 Series highlighting the groundbreaking performance achieved by its Silicon One architecture.
