It is exceedingly complicated to get the 64bit browser applet to install and function reliably. A few things I've noted:
- You can't have both the 32bit and 64bit 'Cisco Multi-Pane Video Surveillance Client' installed concurrently on a workstation in our experience.
- We've had to ensure IE was configured for Enhanced Protected Mode (EPM) for the VSOM FQDN/IP prior to initially visiting Operations Manager. If IE is successfully running a 64bit frame on first site visit (and doesn't already have the 32bit client installed!) the installation for the 64bit client *should* initiate. *Note: We've also noticed that IE tends to crash the first time it attempts to load the client. Subsequent attempts succeed.
- You *can* find the Viper64 and Viper32 .CAB packages on the VSOM server itself. These can be opened with a CAB explorer (or similar) to acquire the actual .MSI packages which could be used for workstation deployment. Unfortunately, I don't have access to a VSOM server at the moment to verify the path where you can find them, and I can't seem to recall it from memory!
As soon as I get the opportunity to complete my rebuild of our lab server on 7.8, I'll try and remember to check the path for you.
Cheers!
