Cam 4500E analytics events to CPAM

Hello,

Is there a solution to forward the analytics events (Camera Tamper, Trip Wire...) from a 4500E Cam to cpam-server, that we can activate a flashlight on the outputbox?

Or on the Graphical Map Viewer the cam will change from green icon to red icon.

regards,

Beat

Just throwing stuff out here to see if any of it helps:

if you have a nearby gateway module you can wire the GPIO terminal block to one of the inputs and have the camera send to the (OPEN CLOSE)  GPIO on events?

4500 GPIO diagram:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/physical_security/video_surveillance/ip_camera/4300_4500/user_guide/ipcaintr.html

More round-about if you dont have a nearby gateway or dont want to run more wires, consider sending your events to a Pearle ethernet I/O device

http://www.perle.com/products/Ethernet-IO-Device-Server.shtml

and having that open close contacts on any spare input on a cpam.  This is by far more roundabout but removes wireing constraints, and lets you get inputs into CPAM in any possible way other then using the external events interface in cpam, which i find very cludgy, even then i wonder if you would most likely need  to send to a intermidiate server to format the event in the way CPAM wants it.

If you want to take a stab at external interface, the link below explains it some:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/solutions/Verticals/Government/Urban_Security_DG/CH_5_Urb_Sec.html

Thanks for your ideas.

we have done it with external events but now we have another question.
