Cisco Encoder testing feeds freezing issue

Dear All ,

I have more the 300 encoders that will be used for the analog cameras fixed and PTZ cameras, we used Cisco VS 1 port Encoder FE-GE Chassis Card (MPEG4/H.264) ,which installed in Cisco VS FE Chassis 3RU, 16 slots, Internal Dual Voltage Power .

The customer has old system that is running now and we need to test the performance of the analog cameras and we need to do it in the same time of existing feeds to the old system .

so the customer used T-connector to do it but we faced a problem , we used 4 feeds as a test , the problem I have now is for any feed it is working fine for 30 sec and the feed freezing for around 20 sec .

so I need to check if this test is valid ,by using T-connector and if this is the root of the problem, noting that the old system is working fine in existing of the T-connector.

Thanks,

Ahmed Ellboudy

Dear ahmed:

i think the problem is networking issues. from my experience , the encoder need huge bandwidth minimum 2 Mbps. with H264.

so what happend if you creat just one feed from one camera by using T connector, is it give you same result? if yes then what id you stream camera with T connector? what is result. and what about the PC specification?

thank you.
