Cisco IP Camera 2521

Hi ,

we have Cisco IP Camera 2521 ,

and we are using internet explorer 11 on windows 7 & windows 8 .

we can't view the camera through web interface .

Is there any work-around to solve this issue ?

Hi.

I really gave up with those cam interfaces when it comes to viewing.

In the old days, I tried with VLC to capture the stream and adjust the pictures. But even with the new cameras and actual firmware, I have exact the same  issues as 4 years ago.

The only one that was less annoying when it came to viewing was the dome camera 5011. But it came from Pelco...

Even if you managed to bring it to work with one browser and one camera, I can assure that when working on another camera type, it will fail again.

Happy to hear a different oppinion here.

I've actually had to attach to some camera models to pull down the .CAB package containing the required plugins because proper installation isn't initiated by the browsers.

You can then pull the CAB file open and extract the actual MSI (I think) package for stand alone installation.

A giant PITA.

I can't recall which camera models or firmware versions it was now, but I know the packages we could never get to install (via the browser, by logging into the cameras) properly were the 'CameraUIControl' packages.  Both version 1 and 2.  I know this, because I manually extracted the CABs previously.

The process goes something like this though:

1) enable SSH access to the endpoint, then track down the actual package from the camera:

2) Grab a copy of the .cab file outside of the browser, using wget or something:

3) Pull the cab open with your favorite archiver or utility to get at the installation files...

Like I said... this is just an example, but I know I've done something similar for a few of the Cisco cameras in the case where we just.couldn't.get it.to.install. any other way via the browser.

you should be running Windows-7 64 Bit try with with IE8 or 9 it will work.

or check below requirment, if all good you can download the profiler tool in order to check compatiblity whether your PC is able to steam video or not ?
