Hi guys,
I'm fron Namibia, WIndhoek
I've never worked on a Physical Access Server before, and was tasked to connect a buzzer / REX style button to a Cisco Gateway, which in turn are managed by a CPAM session.
The idea is for clients and reception going out of the door at the reception area, to just be able to press this 'REX' button.
So, our cabling team have hooked up the button to Input Port 3, and I tried my best to get the config to work. Unfortunately, we're not seeing the light on the gateway box under Input3, and If I try to 'admin up' the DEFINED rex, then the following error message comes up:
Device command failed: Execution of command failed -Error Code 0 message Null
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
as i understand from the status of the input port 3 LED is off, it means configuration is not pushed to gateway and current configuration is failed to be applied to gateway or module.
Any new port configuration, Door needs to be re-added. please disable and delete the door and re-add the door with right, device and door template and associate REX to input port 3.
replace configuration on the gateway, Once the configuration are pushed to gateway. Input port LED's will change the status to either Green Steady or Blinking.
Steady - Waiting for input
Blinking - Input change is applied. (When the REX button is pressed, input port will blink untill REX is pressed)

Thanks Raghav.
I'm a bit scared of reprogramming the config; seeing as I haven't received training on this product at all, and have never done this in the past. So, I don't know what the side effect will be afterwards; in terms of access control etc.
Basically I've inherited this installation from a previous installer. So, I will probably be doing this after hours / or over a weekend or so..
I've taken screenshots of all of the various items / properties (2 of them have been attached)
Just to make sure what you recommend:
I have to go to Doors - Locations and Doors, and then delete the applicable door with its sub entries.
Then, I have to go to Doors - Hardware - localhost Access GW Driver, and delete all the inputs and outputs, etc. or will those entries be automatically be deleted once I delete the Door directly, under Locations and Doors?

Do it from Hardware tree, this will help to
1. Disable the door
2. un-associate all the device
3. Delete the door.
4. Drop down the gateway or module and check, if all the input, output & readers are un-associated, if not disable and delete them.
5. replace configuration.
Begin to add the door with new template as per the requirement.
i had recorded small video (attached) on how to delete a door and re-add with new template, this video needs to be played from "webex network recording player", review the video, then perform the steps accordingly.
Note: Once the door is added, Door needs to be part of access policy or door policy group.
