Unable to find my camera model in cisco VSM

Hi all,

I recently installed cisco vsms 6.3.1 on my system. As per the manual i did add the vsm server. However on adding IP cameras to the server, i can not find my camera models on the drop down list.

Currently i have Axis P1344 and Axis Q1755 model of ip camera.

Please help me on adding these ip cameras.

Further, how can i add   Video Surveillance Virtual Matrix Server on the same server??

Hi sanjeev,

VSOM 6.3.1 does not support the 2 camera in question (Axis P1344 and Axis Q1755) and hence you are not able to view them on drop down list.

To add VSMS go to admin tab of VSOM choose server, then select VSMS server and give the same ip address as your VSOM. you also need to create monitor for VSMS.

Thanks for the reply. I selected another model of axis camera from the available options and now it seems its working fine.

But i have another doubt. I am working with some alert generation on occurrence of some events. Since i have soft trigger enabled,

i can manually trigger the event.

In addition what i want is to include timestamp with the event message. I read that those information can be sent by appending parameters

at the soft trigger url. But what i want is the timestamp i sent in the url should be reflected as the timestamp of the occurrence of that event.

Also i want the trigger to save the snapshot from the camera feed, so that it can be viewed later for what camera view was the event trigger for?

How do i achieve those requirements.
