VSOM 7.2 CVA File question

I have a customer that is asking if the CVA clip you create embeds the cisco player into itself.  Basically, when they create a clip and save it to disk, they don't want the person they give it to to have to install the media player.   Is there a way to embed the archive player into the clip, or do they have to add the installer to each disk they create?

Thanks,

Robert

The .CVA format and player as a whole really needs some re-engineering.  I 100% concur that the player should be rolled into an exported clip.  It should also play back on pretty much any workstation.  The current version of the player should *also* play back any historical CVA clip created (regardless of VSM version).

These issues need addressed.

I agree with Scott it needs work.

However to answer your question No it doesnt embed the viewer.  In Pre VSM 7  you had an option to embed the viewer this was lost in 7, 7.0.1 and still is not an option in 7.2.

If the user has ever web browsed to Vsom and logged in.  The viewer gets installed.  However in the case where you archive a clip off and send it to some one that has not then they will need the viewer if using .cva format.

Hope this answers your question.

Thanks
