VSOM Bandwidth question

Hi:

I have a question about bandwidth usage of the Cisco VSOM. Currently our VSOM is not in service.

When a client views many cameras at once, let's say 16 cameras, is the FULL data stream of each of those cameras sent to the client's computer, or is only a small video stream sent (enough to render the small image from each camera on the screen)?

So for example, if each camera's stream is 3Mbps, would the client receive a datastream of 3 X 16 = 48Mbps, or would it receive something much smaller (just enough to render the tiny screen image of each camera)?

I am asking so that I can plan network utilization for this unit, as we have several clients who want to view many cameras at once.

Thank you.

Hi,

Yes, client received an all streams 3 X 16 = 48Mbps from VSM server(s). Even a client looks 5 identical cameras, VSM sent 5 identical stream.
