We have layer 2 OOB NAC setup. We are using version 4.8. Everything has been working for several years but there is a problem with windows 7 clients end up on guest network. We first noticed this issue when we started to deploy windows 7 to replace aging XP machines a few years ago. The issue can be reproduced as follows.
1. Open a web browser before NAC agent completes posture assessment (Apparently PCs running windows 7 boot up faster and allow users to open web browsers before NAC agent completes posture assessment)
2. Because the posture assessment is not completed, users see an agreement to use our guest network instead of their homepage
3. If users simply wait a few seconds and restart the browser, there would be no problems. However, many users will click to agree and get on to the guest network.
Anyone else have this issue and how do you go about configuring NAC to at least minimize these incidents/calls to help desk, and/or preventing users from launching browsers before posture assessment is done?
