Feature Request: Make a new created Remote User active

Dear sirs or madam,
we started to use RADkit intensively in our company. Most of my colleagues including myself (and I created already some new users) tend to forget to "activate this user". It is not intuitive that you must enable a new user you just created. You create it because you want the Cisco TAC engineer to use the access. I do not create a new user to let it deactivated. Please change the default behavior that every new Remote user is already active right from the beginning.

Thanks and best regards
Adrien

Hello Adrien,

thanks for raising this to our attention. We have made "deactivated" the default because as a general rule, we deem it much riskier security-wise for someone's access to be unintentionally granted than to be unintentionally denied. Furthermore, changing this default would impact all other RADKit users and such a decision can't be made lightly. One thing we could do would be to make this default configurable, which would allow you to change it to "enable on creation" for remote users on your own setup. We'll discuss that option internally.

Regards,

Alex H from RADKit Engineering.

Hi Alex,
thank you very much for your reply. I understand it. You explained it well.
If you could introduce a new feature "enable on creation" for remote users I would for sure take it.

Thanks and best regards
Adrien
