Good Day,
Is there a way to configure dhcp relay with nat? I have a client connected behind an ASA 5550 configured for dhcp relay on the outside. The asa is connected to a test router with helper addresses pointing to the dhcp server.
Using ethereal, I can see the dhcp request reaching the server. The dhcp service responds by sending an ack to the default gateway of one of the pools (which correspond to the private, inside subnets) and gets dropped.
If, as it appears, this configuration will not work, let me ask: What is the upside/downside of using the dhcp service on the ASA?
Thanks
