I just bought a bunch of 3850 switches but am having a problem getting them to recognize the SFP module. When I insert the module I get the following error:
*Jun 10 05:39:29.019 EDT: %PLATFORM_PM-6-MODULE_ERRDISABLE: The inserted SFP module with interface name Gi1/1/1 is not supported
*Jun 10 05:39:29.019 EDT: %PM-4-ERR_DISABLE: gbic-invalid error detected on Gi1/1/1, putting Gi1/1/1 in err-disable state
*Jun 10 05:52:20.050 EDT: %PLATFORM_PM-6-MODULE_ERRDISABLE: The inserted SFP module with interface name Gi1/1/2 is not supported
*Jun 10 05:52:20.050 EDT: %PM-4-ERR_DISABLE: gbic-invalid error detected on Gi1/1/2, putting Gi1/1/2 in err-disable state
*Jun 10 05:52:26.819 EDT: %PLATFORM_PM-6-MODULE_ERRDISABLE: The inserted SFP module with interface name Gi1/1/3 is not supported
*Jun 10 05:52:26.819 EDT: %PM-4-ERR_DISABLE: gbic-invalid error detected on Gi1/1/3, putting Gi1/1/3 in err-disable state
*Jun 10 05:52:29.923 EDT: %PLATFORM_PM-6-MODULE_ERRDISABLE: The inserted SFP module with interface name Gi1/1/4 is not supported
*Jun 10 05:52:29.923 EDT: %PM-4-ERR_DISABLE: gbic-invalid error detected on Gi1/1/4, putting Gi1/1/4 in err-disable state
Which doesn't make sense because it should be supported from what I can tell.
