Hi Guys,
We have just spent time installing and configuring a cisco ASA 5506X in a small hotel where we have a number of networks that need to communicate with each other and to an MPLS. It appears to be working fine and passing traffic where needed, however, now and again we have reports that they are unable to access the file/print server which is connected to VLAN 301 and the client is connected via VLAN3001. This doesn't appear to affect everyone all of the time and is quite intermittent in appearance. However, they continue to have internet access and after a while everything returns back to normal again.
I have checked the logs and the only issue that could be concerning is this one:
%ASA-2-321006: System Memory usage reached 92%
Here is the show version:
Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 9.5(2)
Device Manager Version 7.5(2)
Compiled on Sat 28-Nov-15 00:16 PST by builders
System image file is "disk0:/asa952-lfbff-k8.SPA"
Config file at boot was "startup-config"
LONCH-FW01-04 up 43 days 2 hours
Hardware: ASA5506, 4096 MB RAM, CPU Atom C2000 series 1250 MHz, 1 CPU (4 cores)
Internal ATA Compact Flash, 8192MB
BIOS Flash M25P64 @ 0xfed01000, 16384KB
And connections too:-
493 in use, 5765 most used
Some days they appear to not have any issues, but just wondered if we have to be concerned with the memory issue as reported above?
Thanks,
Chris
