Cisco 7940 Protocol Application Invalid

Hi all

I bought a 2nd hand Cisco 7940 to use as SIP phone. When powering up, the error "Protocol Application Invalid" appears. I have no clue what to do.

I work on Apple OS. Anyone here who can help me out?
