I am looking to replace cisco AS5300 with once of the latest cisco platforms as this product is EoL for a long time now.
Would appreciate any help to decide what platform would be best (cost efficient) to replace the existing AS5300 access server universal gateway which is acting as a dial out modem to access remote devices. EZ/dialout software running on windows server is used by users to dial out to remote modem to access the remote devices through the AS5300. AS5300 has 4 E1/T1 controller interfaces and 4 serial interfaces doing ppp encapsulation. Not to mention that the new device should have support for T1/E1 Async interface along with Serial. Would appreciate any pointers.
