Hi all,
I'm new here so please be kind!
Bought an SG350-10 switch recently to use in my home lab
I'm setting a static IP on the switch and all is working fine.. I've got this plugged into an older ASA5505 that has no DHCP configured on the port plugged into the switch.
Create VLAN 10, assign ports 1-4 to the VLAN and add an IP4 interface of 10.1.1.1/24 to the VLAN.
Switch reboots, IP address is now 10.1.1.1 and can access this switch perfectly.
After configuring the switch I want to put it into the location where it would be permanently so I disconnected the power moved the switch and powered it back on.
This is where things go wrong.. I am unable to access the management GUI from any port on the switch and the switch resets its configuration back to 192.168.1.254.
I've tried deleting the VLAN1 0.0.0.0 default DHCP address and no luck..
I have a feeling it's something to do with VLAN1 being the default but though that setting a static IP would prevent the switch from looking to obtain a DHCP address?
Would someone be able to point me in the right direction to what I need to do to stop the switch resetting it's IP when rebooted / powered off/on
Any help is much appreciated
Thanks, Matt
