ADSL with 16 Public IP's as DHCP SRP 527

Hi All,

I have an ADSL connection with 16 public IP adresses starting xx.xxx.x.1, and I would like to have the public IP's addressed by DHCP to the clients.

Is this possible?

I've set up the WAN interface as PPPoA, turned off NAT and tried to modify the subnet into the public range in the DHCP server. This results in an IP conflitct error. I hoped it was this simple.

Any  suggestions?

Best regards

Hi,

Yes, this is possible.  Either create a new VLAN and DHCP scope for your public address space, or modify the existing one if you prefer.

Once you have that, then use the NAT Bypass feature to essentially disable NAT for your public subnet.

Andy

...by the way - add Advanced Firewall Rules to control the traffic that is allowed through to your internal hosts.
