Hello good people,
we have moved into a new office and would like to work on a very secure and fast wireless network. Yes, we can plug in some people but we want to stay mobile as we have lots of meetings and collaborate by moving around the office.
At the moment we do not have a network admin in the office and we will never have one, so I am reaching out for some advice on what hardware and what kind of set up we should go for.
So far what I understand is 802.11ac + WPA2 + 5ghz - WPS = safest wireless setup.
We do have a space for a "RACK" and the office is wired, but I am not sure what is our best setup. Do we get a good wireless router plus a switch that we use for all the wires?
There is not rack box at the moment, only wires coming out of a wall that were severed (obviously somebody not-so-smart was lazy enough not to unplug the wires....
Does anyone have a suggestion? Questions?
We have 300mb connection, we are about 15 people and half would like to be mobile and connected via wifi.
Should we register all devices MAC addresses and only let registered devices connect?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
