Hello everyone. I've decided to upgrade from my Linksys/DD-WRT router to a proper Cisco router. I purchased a new Cisco C1111X-8P Integrated Services Router and immediately "broke" it. It's currently booting into ROM Monitor (rommon). On boot it indicates a problem(no valid BOOT image found) and falls back into rommon.
See below is what I see when I do a reset then set. I think I need to download the latest IOS image and copy it to the router but I'm not 100% certain. I've tried the factory reset 10+ seconds to no avail. Also, I'm not certain where to obtain the correct IOS image for my router. Could please advise me on the proper course of action?

Take a look on this guide. Not exactly your router but rommon ususally is the same. Hope that helps.

It seems maybe I need to download the IOS image file. I tried but can't since a service contract is required. What a mess...
Thanks for your help though. I guess it's just a paper-weight now...

yeah, this can be a problem. I am not convinced yet but the IOS can be corrupted and that´s why we see this behavior.
