Hello everyone. I've decided to upgrade from my Linksys/DD-WRT router to a proper Cisco router. I purchased a new Cisco C1111X-8P Integrated Services Router and immediately "broke" it. It's currently booting into ROM Monitor (rommon). On boot it indicates a problem(no valid BOOT image found) and falls back into rommon.
See below is what I see when I do a reset then set. I think I need to download the latest IOS image and copy it to the router but I'm not 100% certain. I've tried the factory reset 10+ seconds to no avail. Also, I'm not certain where to obtain the correct IOS image for my router. Could please advise me on the proper course of action?

as suggested time for TAC for RMA.

Thanks BB! I am going to try the TAC route first. I am trying to get a service contract so they will talk to me. They won't have anything to do with me at Cisco Technical Support until I have a support contract. It's hard to get though since I purchased my Router and Switch from Amazon. I don't really know why but cisco keeps telling me to contact my reseller and Amazon says they don't know what I'm talking about.
I'm about to drop another $300 for a support contract from CDW so that Cisco will support the product.
This is a strange new world for me. Usually, when I buy a $1400 electronic device, the manufacturer offers some kind of modest support at least.
So, between the new router and the new switch, I'm almost $2K into it now. With the support contract, I'll be at about $2200.
I meant to really step up and get some first rate equipment, at least something more than consumer level. I'll use it as an opportunity to improve my networking skills.
I'm still excited about it all though. And thanks for everyone's help. When I get a resolution on this, I'll come back and post it for the community.

This router have EOL anounced. You may not be able to have contract on it.

That EoL announcement is only for the Bundle.
1100X was just announced several months back so it would not be EoL so quickly.

That's great news Leo. It wouldn't be the first time I made a bad purchase decision but sometimes you just gotta jump into the mess with the knowledge you have. Everything is a tradeoff. I'll let you guys know how it goes after i work my way through the support contract and TAC.

Just closing this out. I tried to make it work out but I couldn't within my pain tolerance. I made the mistake of buying a router form Amazon without a support contract. To be clear, if you do that, Cisco doesn't want ANYTHING to do with you.
So, I packed that baby up and dropped it off at the UPS store.
Then I called Pre-sales support at Cisco. When I told them I wanted to buy a router for my home, they gave me the number to LinkSys.

WTF. Cisco Pre-Sales provided the number for Linksys. Utter amazement. <EXPLETIVE>!

There are a lot of authorized Cisco resellers in the state you are in.
Back in 2018, Cisco had this "marketplace" called Cisco Start. It was a place where SMB could buy stuff.
You might want to try this out.
NOTE: The current Cisco Start is not the same as the one launched in 2018. I think it was because Cisco Start "rubbed some people the wrong way".
