Can't remote manage RV082 after generating VPN certificate.

My RV082 is at 2.0.0.19.  I have enabled remote management and know the port. I was able to remotely manage the router and was attempting to setup a  VPN from work using QuickVPN.  I created a user account and selected the  "generate certificate" button.  Once done, I then selected to download  certificate for the client.  That is when I lost my connection.  No  matter what I did I could no longer connect. I've cleared cookies, temp files, history, and everything else I can  think of but have no idea what is going on.  It's as if the router is  selectively blocking access.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks.

Hello,

I tried this exact scenario and was able to confirm your results. Here is a work around:

     - Access router locally.

     - Disable Remote Managment ---> Save

     - Enable Remote Managment ----> Save

This will allow you to re-gain the prompt for adding the newly generated certificate.

However, the steps you have followed to create users was in-correct. Basically by not saving between each change on the page, you created a conflict in the firmware where the desired change would generate a pop-up prompt. Since you had made 3 changes all at once, it created this conflict.

To ensure you do not lose remote access: Please make changes one at a time and hit Save on the page. This allows the router to prompt any instruction/input messages for the corresponding settings.

Thanks for the response. In addition to the fix, I generated a new certificate and now I can remotely manage the router again.
