I want to configure my RVS4000 router but find that I am unable to login to the 192.168.1.1 site to do so. The "admin" username and password is not working. Maybe I do not have to as my internet connection seems to be working fine. Thanks for any help.

I am also unable to connect to my router (192.168.1.1) which I have accessed many times in the past, but for unknown reasons, I can not access it now. I have tried Firefox, IE, and Midori browsers. CISCO/Linksys Wireless-G broadband router (I am connected by blue ethernet cabling from my PC to the router). Stumped why I can not connect to the router. I can pink the router (192.168.1.1) from a Windows 7 PowerShell command line and get packets bounced back from the ping. Browser says "The connection was reset. The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web."
Any ideas to fix this?

If you are unable to log in to the IP address 192.168.1.1, which is commonly used as the default gateway for many routers, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:
Check your network connection: Make sure your computer or device is connected to the same network as the router. Ensure that the Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi connection is functioning properly.
Verify the IP address: Double-check that you are entering the correct IP address (192 l.168.1.1) in the web browser's address bar. It's important to note that the default gateway IP address may vary depending on the router manufacturer or network configuration.
Clear cache and cookies: Sometimes, browser cache and cookies can interfere with the login process. Clear your browser cache and cookies, and then try accessing the router's login page again.
Try a different browser: Attempt to access the router's login page using a different web browser. This can help determine if the issue is specific to one browser.
Power cycle the router: Turn off your router, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. This process can resolve temporary glitches or connectivity issues.
Reset the router: If all else fails, you can perform a factory reset on the router. Keep in mind that this will erase any customized settings, and you will need to reconfigure the router from scratch. Refer to the router's manual for instructions on how to reset it.
If none of these steps work, it's possible that the IP address for your router may have been changed. In such cases, you can try to find the correct IP address by checking the documentation that came with your router or by contacting your internet service provider (ISP) for assistance.

I am running on Windows 7, using a D-Link ADSL DSL-302G (whatever all that is) and have a Linksys WRT350N Wireless router and I am unable to connect to "192.168.1.1".
I am trying to access that site so I can open my NAT. I've reset the wireless router, I've disconnected my modem itself and still nothing. I use my default gateway and that doesn't have any of the things in need to open my NAT, can anyone help me?

When I try to log on to my router good old google won't let me because it is "not secure". I've tried to eliminate everything google from my life but, it is apparently impossible. Anyway, I'm hoping somebody can tell me how to get around this. I tried adding an "s" to the url but then I get "This site can’t be reached 192.168.1.1 refused to connect."

Hi there,
What is the model of your router? Can you share a screenshot from the error login page?
Regards,
Martin

Often it's a matter of using the right format of the address in your browser:
I'm assuming that the router interface IP is 192.168.1.1 - if that's not right then you have to use what *is* right. Here are some examples:
192.168.1.1.
https://192.168.1.1:8080 where 8080 is the PORT number to be used.
https://192.168.1.1:443/
http://192.168.1.1:80/
http://192.168.1.1:81/
http://192.168.1.1:8008/
I'm not trying to provide an exhaustive list here - but these port numbers are common.
So, combining https with likely port numbers and/or http with likely port numbers is the idea.
Usually Cisco can help with this.
I've found this to be absolutely necessary after updating firmware on some Cisco routers.

You can also check logging on 192.168.1.1 IP address (if your router supports that). And for the password, you can follow this guide to retrieve your password
