Hi All,
so we have a Cisco RV320 running the latest firmware (Dec 2014), I keep getting connection issues for my users to our 2008 R2 Terminal server, at first i believed this to be an issue with the server but today when going through the logs i see that we have a lot of repeating errors in the RV320.
the lines that repeat every few mins in the log are:-
2015-02-03, 14:50:29 | System Log | Timeout waiting for PADO packets |
2015-02-03, 14:50:29 | System Log | Unable to complete PPPoE Discovery |
2015-02-03, 14:50:30 | System Log | Interface eth2 has MTU of 1492 -- should be at least 1500. |
2015-02-03, 14:50:30 | System Log | This may cause serious connection problems. |
could anyone tell me what these mean?
as far as i can see the MTU is set to auto on both Wan lines, this seems to be applying to Wan2 (eth2) it looks like the connection is dropping and reconnecting but i cannot see why,....
also today i have had a couple of system reboots of the router that seem to be random, the log will have a gap then goto System started, no idea why it is rebooting, but when it reboots i cannot ping the router....
any ideas greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Darren

Manually set the MTU for WAN2 to 1500 and see if that fixes the problem.

as it turned out this was an issue with the ISP that has now been corrected.
on another note i could not change the MTU to 1500 as it would always reset to 1492....
(latest Firmware)

Glad to hear it was fixed. Strange that it wouldn't let you set the mtu manually.
