Cisco WRVS4400N

Hi,

I am setting a VPN between a Cisco WRVS4400N and a Cisco RV042. At the Cisco RV042 I have a public IP which is natted to a private IP of internal more bigger network. Therefore on the logs of the WRVS4400N it is giving the below error:

we require peer to have ID '80.x.x.x', but peer declares '10.x.x.x'

Does the Cisco WRVS4400N support changing the peer ID from the public IP of 80.x.x.x to 10.x.x.x?

Thank You

Regards

Hello,

Both the WRVS4400n and the RV042 require a public IP on the WAN interface for a VPN connection.

Thus the Local Security Gateway must be public.

Best regards,

Mike
