Defective RV082 router

We're experiencing technical difficulties using a Cisco product

RV082 Dual WAN VPN Router
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/routers/rv082-dual-wan-vpn-router/model.html

We have good reasons to believe the device or its firmware is defective. We are using the latest firmware version v.4.2.3.07.

The unit will not respond or route large packets. Large ICMP requests are responded intermittently. Requests of 42912 bytes or less in size are all processed. Larger requests are intermittently dropped.

Attached are router configuration screens and logs from requests sent to the router.

We can see packet drops for 50% to 80% of requests sent to the router when larger than 42912 bytes. Drops will occur on requests arriving from both LAN or WAN ports.

Please let us know what procedure we should follow to troubleshoot this problem.

Hello, it could be something related with the default configuration. Let me tell you that the RV082 routers set a default MTU size of 576 on the WAN port behind a cable modem.

Change the settings on Networking > WAN

I hope you find this information helpful.
