Hello Rakesh,
Thank you for using the Cisco Small Business forums. I am a eContent developer and part of the Small Business Support Community.
I have found an article in the Knowledge Base that will hopefully help guide you through the process of setting up load balancing or a smart link backup system:
Set Up Dual WAN Connections on RV042, RV042G and RV082 VPN Routers

Dear ggrim,
Thanks for your advice but I confuse how to put right value in upstream and downstream boxes for running a internet without any issue. I have facing slow internet in Load Balancing mode. Please suggest me the right value of upstream and downstream in load balancing mode as well as smart link backup mode. I have written below my two ISP details:-
1. Airtel Broadband, Speed - 8 Mbps, IP address - 192.168.3.1
2. Tata Broadband, Speed - 8 Mbps, IP address - 192.168.2.1
Cisco RV042 IP address - 192.168.1.1
Thanks and regard,
Rakesh

Hi,
Only one option can be configured either Load balancing or smart link backup.
Login to Router:
Under menu;
System Management---> Dual WAN----->choose the option smart-Link backup/Load-balance

Moorthy.

Adding,
* Dual WAN. There are two functions provided for users – Smart Link Backup and Load Balance..
* If Smart Link Backup is selected, you only need to choose which WAN port is the primary and then the other will be the backup. See Figure 6-22.
* If Load Balance is selected, there will be two main choices:
• By Traffic – Intelligent Balancer (Auto) and user defined. See Figure 6-23. First, choose the Max. Bandwidth of Upstream (64K/128K/256K/384K/512K/1024K/1.5M/2M/2.5M or above) and Downstream (512K/1024K/1.5M/2M/2.5M or above) for WAN1 and WAN2, as provided by your ISP.
• Intelligent Balancer (Auto): When choosing Intelligent Balancer, it will automatically compute the maximum bandwidth of WAN1 and WAN2 by using Weighted Round Robin to balance the loading. If (upstream / downstream / upstream or downstream) bandwidth is excessive (30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%), bring up the second link. When there is an inactivity time-out (None/10min/20min/30min/40min/50min/60min), the second link will be terminated.
