I am looking to replace my Cisco 1811 with a 891 and I have some questions.
I have read that the 890 series is a good replacement for the 1800 series. Is this true?
Also if I purchase a refurbished one is it possible to get a maintenance plan through cisco or a re-seller.

If you only need Ethernet connectivity with no modules then the 891 is a great choice. I personally like the 891F.
It has dual WAN interfaces - one Gigabit, one FastEthernet, and an eight port Gigabit switch.

A bit more expensive, but the 891-24X is also interesting. It has a built in 24 port Gigabit switch with 8 of those ports being PoE. Perfect for small branches.
