Dear All,
Please we have an issue with Router 1841, it's always going to rommon with error:
System Bootstrap, Version 12.4(13r)T, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
Technical Support: http://www.cisco.com/techsupport
Copyright (c) 2006 by cisco Systems, Inc.
PLD version 0x10
GIO ASIC version 0x127
c1841 platform with 393216 Kbytes of main memory
Main memory is configured to 64 bit mode with parity disabled
Readonly ROMMON initialized
flash: CompactFlash not present.
rommon 1 >
Troubleshooing:
- We have tried to reboot with >reset cmd , and also tried to change the register to 0x2102 and >reset, but still the same issue.
- We have tried to show the >dir flash and >format flash, but we get an error with no Compact Flash.
- We have replace the flash from the failure router with another working flash, but still the same issue.
- The flash that we replaced is working fine in another working router 1841.
So is that mean the router is fail totally now ? pls advice.
Thanks

As you see that's all, pls advice if the CF section of router is faulty, what's the solution of that?
Thanks

it will most likely need an RMA with Cisco for a replacement

Dear Mark,
Thanks for your reply, but we have bought the router from e-bay since 3 years ago, so i think no RMA available for it.
Do do u have another tech way to solve the issue?
