Dear Supprt community,
There seems to be an issue with QuickVPN when connecting from a Windows 7 32 bit or Windows 8 clients.
The router being used for the connection is RV180W
VPN account and remote access is activated/configured properly. It works on a Win7 64 bit client.
However when using a Windows 7 32 bit or Windows 8 machine (with the same and correct settings), the following message appears when trying to connect: "Remote gateway could not be found".
Anyone any ideas/solutions?
With best regards,
Mikail

Hello Mikail,
Since the other device is working, most likely there is some issue on that specific client that is causing it to fail. Usually when you see this message it is the firewall on the client. With Windows 7 the firewall should be enabled, but have rules setup to allow ICMP pings through. Is there anything else different about the 32 bit machine? Is it on a different network somewhere, does it use different firewall or A/V software?
There is a troubleshooting guide for QuickVPN available here that goes over some of the more common things to check when QuickVPN isn't working.
As for your Windows 8 machine, QuickVPN isn't supported on Windows 8. I have seen some people get it working, usually with some sort of compatibility mode, but it wasn't written for Windows 8 so it can be tough or impossible to get it to work properly.
PPTP is another option, and it tends to work on almost every OS, including Macs and Linux.
You can also use a third party VPN client such as Greenbow or Shrewsoft (these may not be free however), and there is some documentation out there for setting it up (Greenbow has a guide for the RV220 that should be very easy to translate over to the 180). Please note that the Cisco Support Center won't be able to assist you with any of those third party clients however, since it is not Cisco software.
Hope that helps a bit,

Tnx for the reply,
The Anti-Virus program seems to be the reason. After deactivating it we were able to establish a VPN connection successfully.
