RV042 need assistance with PPTP Configuration

Hi,

Need some assistance to setup the PPTP tunnel on my RV042, here's my scenario.

Head office: RV042 (192.168.1.1/24)

Remote office: Laptop running Windows XP with built-in PPTP client (192.168.2.x/24)

I have no problem to setup the PPTP server function at the headend, and I can bring up the PPTP tunnel from the remote office. However, I cannot access to website such as www.facebook.com as an example, but no trouble with the rest.

I can access Facebook locally, but not at the remote office...

What could be the possibility? Did I overlooked anything?

Hi Charles,

Can you access facebook at the remote office when not connected to the PPTP VPN?

Have you performed a tracert to see where the request is going?

Hi Dave,

To answer your question, I cannot access to Facebook when not connected to the PPTP VPN because it is blocked. (in China).

The strange thing is that I can access to youtube, picasa but just not Facebook.

I also did a tracert, it appears that I can reach facebook after 13 hops "www-13-02.snc4.facebook.com [66.220.146.32]"

Any thoughts?
