RV042G 'beta' firmware to achieve 1gbps bandwidth

There is an older discussion in here that mentions a beta firmware that is available only through cisco customer service support. 

Could I get in touch with someone to send this to me?

Hey Mikelindj,

not sure specifically what you're referring to, I'd have to search the archives. The RV042G is Dual Ethernet WAN Gigabit so, while I'm researching, please provide more details...

Seems like most people with this problem gave up.

Rv042g is a gigabit router. However both WAN ports seem to have a software cap at 100mbps.

Another thread claimed to have beta firmware that is only emailed to users and can overcome the speed limit.

Do you have access to this?

I have this problem too, running v4.2.3.07 (Oct 8 2015 15:29:55), on RV042G V01, speed out of modem is 250x20mbps, speed out of router is 100x3mbps....

nothing works to increase the speed out of the modem I've tried a bunch of things, nothing works.

I am an end user so I cannot open a ticket to get beta firmware.

If possible please send a link to beta firmware to

Hi 

Are you already running the latest image on this box? This issue was old related to previous images.

Did you try a JPERF test on this? 

Do you have the Firewall on? Disable it and test also try directly connected to your ISP to check your actual speed.

Also keep only one WAN link and test

In any case to get a beta image you need to open up a case so this first can be properly validated then you will be email with the temp link with the image.

Please call the SBSC to open a service request (case).

Why does cisco such secrecy?
Apparently it's a mistake firmware.
The device is thus inapplicable to the official firmware....
