I installed this router at a clients office, the just upgraded to VDSL2 account. The gateway at the premise is a Sagem F@st 3464AB BGC. At first, i did a speedtest without the cisco router, and that gave me something arround 30Mb/5Mb. We put the sagem modem in bridged mode, connected the rv042g, and with the most simple configuration, the speedtest only gave us 20Mb/5Mb. The WAN1 is defined with a PPPoE and a MTU of 1492 and gateway mode. Duplex settings match the sagem modem, firmware of rv042g is v4.2.1.02 (Jan 18 2012 14:10:55). No VPN is defined yet, neither any access rules for the firewall.

Hi Jef, thank you for using our forum, my name is Luis I am part of the Small business Support community. I apologize for your inconvenience you are having Jef, could you please, connect a computer directly to you modem device and run a speedtest to verify if the speed is correct?

You can try to reduce you MTU size to 1450 and try with different sizes to find the right one.

I hope you find this answer useful

Greetings,

Luis Arias.
