RV130: IPv6 routing (NAT) not working on local lan

Hello,

I own a Cisco RV130 and have troubles setting up IPv6 routing on the local lan.

IPv4 forwarding using the RV130 as a gateway works fine and I have no troubles with IPv4.

I am obtaining the IPv6 address from an cable modem router connected on the WAN
port of the RV130. I can set a a IPv6 address here or obtain one with DHCPv6 which both works fine.

I can also ping IPv6 only hosts on the internet on the RV130 using the
Diagnostics ping tool (I can ping ipv6.google.com fine).

But when using the RV130 on the LAN port as gateway it is not working.
I've both tried setting up the IPv6's on the local lan hosts using manual
setup (setting the default gateway to the IPv6 address of the LAN port)
or obtaining an IPv6 via RADVD running on the RV130.

When I try to ping an IPv6 host on the internet from a local lan host
I don't get a ping reply which works fine on the Diagnostics console of the RV130.

Please can anybode help? The IPv6 packets can't pass through the router from the
LAN to WAN interface as it appears.

The IPv6 routing tables seem to be fine. The only thing I could do is setup a static route,
but I don't think that's required.

I am using Firmware version 1.0.3.54.

The RV130 is in IP mode LAN IPv4 + Ipv6 and WAN Ipv4 + IPv6.

The RV130 is set up acting as gateway and not as router in Routing settings.

With many greetings,

Adrian Immanuel Kiess

   Hello @arosusi

Hope you are doing well!

My name is Anton and I am part of the Cisco SBS Support Team.

Can you specify what is the IPv6 address for DG on LAN?

It may be necessary to be a link-local address starting with fe80::/10.

Kind Regards!

Dear @agekov.

things cleared up as I got a response from my internet service provider:

In fact I do get a public IPv6 address but is not routable as it's a company decision not to offer IPv6 yet.

As traceroute6 takes the step which is the RV130 I assume IPv6 is working well for me on the RV130 and my problem is due to the fact noted before (the modem behind the RV130 causes the trouble).

Thank you very much for your help and answer!

You can close this post.

Sincerely,
