RV180 Firewall Rule / Port Forwarding to internal Broadcast (WOL)

Hi

Ho do I create a rule/port forwarding that is broadcasted to the LAN?

I tried to set 192.168.1.255 as destination IP (how I did and it worked with other router brands) but this is not accepted.

Thanks

Franz

Hmmm .... nobody an idea how this an be achieved?

Hi Franz, the router won't support a LAN broadcast over the WAN.

You can try to use a port forward for a specific host using the WOL port but I am suspecting you want to WOL more than just 1 host.

.. but I am suspecting you want to WOL more than just 1 host.

That is exactly what we had before with Zyxel as well as with other brands and what I am trying to achieve with RV180 as well.

I am very surprised (or even disapointed) that this is not possible with this Cisco router.

Buying the more expensive device does not always seem to be the right choice

Where can I place feature request?

Hi Franz, to make a feature request, you would need a service request with the small business support center.
